Okay, I finally rewatched The Fate of the Furious last night, and I have to say, even though it’s been out for years, some scenes still just completely blow my mind.

I mean, where do we even start with this movie It’s like the writers sat in a room and asked, “How can we make everything bigger, louder, and more impossible than the last one” And I’m not complaining, that’s eactly why I love this franchise.

So, the whole “zombie car” scene in New York City. That has to be one of the most insane things I’ve ever seen in an action movie.

Hundreds of cars just getting hacked and pouring out of parking garages like a metal waterfall And then they’re all swarming the streets, coordinated to take down this one armored vehicle.

The logic is completely out the window, but visually, it’s just stunning. I remember watching it in theaters and the whole audience was just laughing because it was so over-the-top.

What did you guys think when you first saw that Was it a “heck yes” moment or a “okay, this is getting silly” moment for you And then we have to talk about the Russia sequence at the end.

The submarine. THE SUBMARINE! They’re racing on a frozen ocean, dodging torpedoes, and a freaking nuclear submarine just bursts through the ice. It’s the pinnacle of the “family vs.

world” theme, but the scale is just ludicrous. Dom drives his car directly into the sub’s fins to slow it down. I mean, come on! It’s so dumb and yet I was on the edge of my seat.

This franchise truly operates on its own set of physics, and at this point, I’m just along for the ride. The character dynamics were super interesting in this one too.

Seeing Dom betray the family was a huge deal. That first moment when he rams his car into Hobbs’s truck. . . my jaw dropped.

I know Jason Statham’s Deckard Shaw switching sides was a controversial move, given he was the villain in Furious 7. But honestly I kinda love him as part of the team.

The scene where he’s fighting bad guys on a plane while simultaneously protecting a baby in a carrier It’s so ridiculous but also weirdly one of the most memorable and badass moments in the entire series for me.

Did his redemption arc work for you all, or did you think it was too much of a stretch Also, can we just appreciate Charlize Theron as Cipher She’s such a cold, calculating, and genuinely terrifying villain.

The way she just manipulates everyone from a distance. That scene where she forces Dom to betray his family by holding his son hostage. . . that added a real emotional weight to all the chaos.

It wasn’t just about saving the world; it was about saving his actual family. Helen Mirren showing up for a tiny cameo was also a fantastic surprise. The cast just keeps getting more and more stacked.

I feel like this movie, maybe more than any other, is the one where the Fast & Furious series fully embraced being a superhero franchise with cars instead of a street racing series.

And you know what I’m totally fine with that. It knows what it is and it doesn’t try to be anything else. It’s a two-hour spectacle of cars, stunts, and family drama.

Sometimes, that’s eactly what you need.

So, what does everyone else think What was your favorite insane moment Do you think the series jumped the shark here, or is this the kind of madness you signed up for Let’s discuss!
